Meet the team at FIK Laser. Your laser cutting specialists in the Bay of Plenty.
Engineer / CAD Tetris Expert
Since I was young I have pulled apart my toys to work out how they can be put back together. Soon my interest became my passion and luckily enough profession. Working as an engineer I can utilise my knowledge to design and create structures and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulations, safety and cost. When I am not busy with an engineering design I can be found in the forest riding my bike until after dawn.
Work Shop Manager / Toy Maker
For the past 30 years I have been designing and building many engineering toys improving people's lives. Profile cutting and metal folding has always been part of my career. I enjoy seeing our parts on trucks when I drive down the road, seeing people's faces when they see their signs up on the building and families enjoying peaceful time in their homes after our finishing touches. At FIK Laser we get to work with different personalities from the professional engineers ordering thousands of parts to the couples who want a one off piece for their home. While work is my life I occasionally can be found on the golf course, my secret passion.
Business Designer / The Glue
Being a part of a family business is an incredible thing. Everyday I work with people I care for and together we create quality products for our clients with millimetre precision. It is fascinating to see what our clients build from the individual parts we cut and the part we play in the bigger creation. It is my vision to show the Bay what inspiring people we have around us and the products being created just at our doorstep. So stay tuned, watch our blog, Facebook page and Pinterest to see what we are creating next!
Accounts / Paper Shuffler
Been given the opportunity to work alongside Tyral, Clyde and Paulina in their family business has been an honour. In the short time I have been with FIK Laser, I have seen some amazing designs leave the workshop. My passion is in office work and accounts and I have been able to use my skills within the business. When I’m not at work I am being a mother to my little 1 year old girl and playing a few key roles in the equestrian community in Tauranga.
